It is Day 19 and Drew comes to the PRC in his casual clothes to deal with the newest Kari Ann situation. Heidi and Drew call Kari Ann, who claims she is not using, that she wants to stay sober but was sick of the PRC and had to get out and go home. Drew asks her to come back but she says it’s the last thing she wants to do. Drew tells us he can’t force her to return and he’s going to move on to patients who want his help. He meets with Mackenzie to talk about the surroundings she’ll return to after rehab..
We see footage of Mackenzie’s house and it is pretty disgusting. There is blood on the ceiling from her shooting up and the whole place is in disrepair. Drew asks her if it would be all right with her for him to arrange to have it re-done. Mackenzie gets emotional as she thanks him. She says she thought Celebrity Rehab would be a joke, but Drew and the staff actually care. We all care, Mackenzie. We've been tricked into it.

Previously on Celebrity Rehab, Heidi freaked out and took off, Kari Ann felt like she was attacked and Mike Starr has a sad, sad story.
It’s day 17 and the patients are returning from the family dinner. Mackenzie and Lisa look at pictures of Heidi and her birds and hope that she comes back. Drew tells us it’s common for patients to act out toward the end of treatment. Kari Ann goes into Tom’s room and lays down on his bed with him. She asks him to come out and paint her bikini. It looks like he’s getting a li’l grab ass in. He’s clearly tempted by her or turned on or whatever, but also clearly knows it’s going to lead to trouble. Kari Ann and Mike are outside and Mike asks her if she’ll be his friend. She says she likes to make the boys happy. So sad. She goes on to say boobies never hurt anybody. Tom joins them and tells her she’ll get thrown out for acting like that. She talks again about painting a bikini. She obviously knows she’s doing wrong, because there is urgency to the way she takes off her shirt and tells them to hurry. Mike picks up a brush and starts painting on her bare chest, but Tom walks away. Dennis is also outside and sort of looks sideways at it. Kari Ann keeps looking around to see who her audience is.

As we saw previously, Monroe came to PRC so Tom and Drew could talk her into treatment. Tom got really sweaty then asked Monroe to take him home. They walk outside and Monroe wants Tom to stay. She agrees to check in. In the backyard, Tom is sitting at the table smoking and Mackenzie walks out. He tells her about the whole thing and she is appropriately happy for him and Monroe. Drew comes up and says, “Dude.” There is a lot of Drew-bashing these days, but it always appears to me that he genuinely wants to help people and is affected by their successes and failures. Tom acknowledges that his sudden desire to leave rehab was a result of his disease taking over. “No kidding,” Drew says. When Tom asks if Drew is going to help them, Drew smiles and nods, then says, “I’m tryin’ for f**k’s sake, Tom if you’ll f**king let me.” He’s laughing as he says it. Hugs all around. Tom tells us he wants to feel better.

It’s day nine and Kari Ann is back. The first thing she does is hug Shelly, who is fantasizing about throwing her on the ground and stomping on her neck. Actually, probably not because Shelly is a more evolved human being than most of us. Drew reminds us that Kari Ann was on Sex Rehab but had to be removed for being a terrible spoiled brat. Shelly starts going through Kari Ann’s stuff. She finds a bag with crystal in it. She immediately flushes it. Kari Ann claims to be embarrassed. She says she’s never gone three weeks without crystal since she started smoking it. She says she wants to be in rehab but doesn’t know if she’s ready for it. Lisa, Mindy and Mackenzie stop by to introduce themselves and say hi. As they walk away they have a problem that Kari Ann has a big bed and her own room. Just wait, ladies. You will have a lot more problems with Kari Ann.

It’s still day six at the Pasadena Recovery Center. Dennis tells Heidi that Tom left. She tells him that Tom split her head open and that it’s not fair to Dennis that he has to share a room with Tom. That’s mean. It’s thirty minutes into day seven and the night cams show us a really weird view of Joey sleeping. You can see the whole network of veins under his skin, it’s very strange. Drew tells us there’s a good chance Tom will not come back. But then Tom does come back.

We pick up right were we left off, with Mindy in the middle of a seizure. Mackenzie runs off to get help. Will, Resident Tech quite sensibly buffets Mindy's head with pillows to prevent her from harming herself. Lisa and Heidi come in to watch. Will reassures everyone Mindy will come out of it. Mackenzie goes to wake Dennis up and tell him about it. The paramedics are there to take Mindy away and Dennis goes running outside. Mindy is on a stretcher about to go into the ambulance and Dennis tells her, “Hey Mindy, we’re here for you baby, okay?” It’s actually very sweet. He looks genuinely concerned. Dennis Rodman has feelings. Inside, Mackenzie repeats over and over how scary it was. She’s seen people seize up from drugs before, but she’s always been on drugs, too. She realizes that Mindy’s seizure was scary to her because she witnessed it sober and present.

Oh, America. How is Dr. Drew supposed to help these people if they can't even admit they need help?
